Did you know that there is no school on Wednesday, November 27th due to the Thanksgiving break? Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation and Staff from Camp Naticook during this no school day program with thanksgiving themed activities designed to keep your children busy and entertained all day long so that you can get read for the holiday.
We will spend our day at Wasserman Park. Children will participate in a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts projects, nature exploration, outdoor activities and much more. A daily hot lunch is included in the cost of your tuition. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited.
Letter from Santa Program
Registration open thru December 15th
Fee: $5.00 pp
Watch the excitement when your child receives a letter from Santa Claus! Santa wants to make your child feel special this holiday season with an unforgettable gift: Imagine how surprised they'll be to receive mail direct from the North Pole.
Please complete 1 registration form for each child so that each child gets their own letter. The deadline to register is Sunday, December 15th in order to ensure that we can get the letter to you in time for Christmas morning. Letters will arrive in a large red envelope from the North Pole.
Due to the rising cost of postage and printing; we are forced to charge a small fee for this program in order to cover those costs.
A Multi-Town Recreation Department Collaboration
The 5th Annual Southern New Hampshire Tour of Lights has returned for it's 5th year. This program is a collaboration among Recreation Departments in south central New Hampshire and the program exists to provide a free free family friendly activity to go and explore festive lights and decorations during the holidays.
Residents are encouraged to decorate the exterior of their homes with festive lights this upcoming holiday season and then register your address with the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department no later than Monday, December 2nd. This will guarantee your home is included in the official list of homes on the Southern New Hampshire Tour of Lights.
On Friday, December 6th, we will publicize a master list to the general public of all of the addresses in the communities who are participating in the Southern New Hampshire Tour of Lights with driving directions thru each community.

The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department would like to invite you to join us in kicking off the official Holiday Season in Merrimack by joining us for the 31st Annual Holiday Happenings Events; which will take place on Sunday, December 8th, 2024
Our theme this year is: A Charlie Brown Christmas
The Annual Holiday Parade will kick off at 3:00 p.m. from the Commons Shopping Plaza located at 515 Daniel Webster Highway and will end in the Town Hall parking lot located at 6 Baboosic Lake Road. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place immediately after the Parade arrives at Town Hall (at approximately 3:45 pm.

Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation and staff from Camp Naticook over the December School Vacation week with activities designed to keep your children busy and entertained all week long.
Children will participate in a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts projects, nature exploration, outdoor activities and much more designed to burn off some energy. A daily hot lunch is included in the cost of your tuition.
The program runs from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm on each of the scheduled days and the program is geared towards children in Grades K - 5. Sign up by the day or for all 6 days.

It culminates with the famous “The Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 with more than half a million fans in attendance.
